The Company:
Our client is a multinational organisation with offices nation wide. They are looking to appoint a Norwegian speaking Translator. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to pursue a career in translation.
The Role:
The Norwegian speaking translator is in charge of rewriting various texts from English into Norwegian. Your duties will include: ? reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language ? ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained ? researching phraseology to provide correct translations/terminologies ? discussing any unclear points with the author ? proofreading and editing the final translated version ? producing a grammatical, well-expressed version of the translated text ? using the internet and email as research sources at every stage of the translation process ? supplying subtitles for visual programmes, and scripts for audio programmes; ? validating programmes in the target language; and retaining and developing knowledge on specialist areas of translation
This is unique chance to join an international famous company for a 9 to 12 month contract.
Candidate Profile:
You are a translator with experience in translating and proofreading documents from English into Norwegian and you are looking for an opportunity to work for a multinational in charge of their marketing material translations. You have experience using the internet to perform research and you have excellent communication skills as you will be in touch with authors and agencies. You enjoy working on translations for various different matters, from rewriting to providing subtitles; no translation is too difficult for you. You have a great eye for detail and are accurate and precise always maintaining the original texts and it`s meaning is preserved. A qualification in Marketing is beneficiary but not mandatory.
Additional Information:
The salary for this position will be up to £21,000 depending on experience. There is also an excellent benefits package.
